Role Summary:
The Service Execution Engineer – Primary will be responsible for executing scheduled and repeatable IT maintenance tasks as per the managed services. The role focuses on patching, backup monitoring, certificate lifecycle management, server health monitoring, and contributing to weekly KPI reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patch Management:
- Apply patches to servers and endpoints.
- Use Microsoft Defender to monitor vulnerabilities.
- Track patching success/failures.
- Backup Monitoring:
- Monitor and ensure backup integrity for SharePoint, OneDrive, and servers using tools like Cohesity, Azure, or DPM.
- Report any failures and follow up on issues.
- Certificate Management:
- Track and renew certificates for Entra applications, web services, and endpoint systems.
- Maintain records and alerts for expiring certificates.
- Server Monitoring:
- Monitor CPU, memory, disk, and uptime status of servers.
- Use ServiceNow to log and escalate alerts.
- Perform initial triage and resolution where applicable.
- KPI Reporting:
- Contribute data for weekly reports including patch success rate, backup status, certificate risks, server health, and exceptions.
- Service Requests & Change Management:
- Support documentation, effort estimation, and ticket updates for non-standard service requests.
- Follow CAB process for approvals and implementation tracking.
Required Skills:
- 3–6 years experience in IT Infrastructure/Managed Services roles.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, backup tools (Cohesity, Azure, DPM), and certificate management.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ITSM platforms like ServiceNow.
